About Nancy Yoshida

Nancy earned her Master of Arts degree from Bastyr University’s Leadership Institute of Seattle with an emphasis in family systems therapy. Combining family systems theory with her training in Psychodrama and chemical dependency, she offers an eclectic theoretical perspective and individual interventions that meet each client’s specific needs.

Nancy has many years of experience working in the field of social work, counseling and psychotherapy. She is passionate about her specialties because of her own personal experiences in these areas. She worked with a program that served international clients and taught smoking cessation for Group Health’s Free and Clear program. In addition to her private practice, she facilitates a bereavement group at Gilda’s Club in Seattle. Gildas’ Club serves clients and families and friends of those who have been diagnosis with Cancer.

Currently, Nancy is a student of contemplative prayer, which enhances health and self care while being a caregiver to others. Her personal philosophy is that one has to be emotionally healthy to help others. She uses the spiritual and the physical to help heal the emotional.
